Why choose me?
After getting married in 1996 I moved to Cheshire from Surrey, at that point I left a career in Sales and Marketing and became a partner in my husband’s business, helping him to successfully run it for the next eight years. However in the year of the millennium, and after some personal, life changing experiences I decided to re-train. I studied with the University of Chester, and after four years I qualified as a counsellor. My qualification is registered with The BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) which is on the accredited register of the Professional Standards Authority. I am constantly continuing to develop myself and my practice through ongoing training and supervision.
Since 2004 my experience as a counsellor has been varied, I have worked as a rape and sexual abuse counsellor, with a family counselling centre as well as working with a number of charities before finally going into private practice. Since qualifying I have attended numerous workshops, undertaken ongoing training and have been practising Hypnotherapy and Hypnobirthing since 2014.
Beyond this I like nothing more than pulling on my wellington boots and going for a walk in the fields with my beloved, mad Border Collie Tom! When not on dog-walking duty I love spending time in the garden growing my own vegetables, and relax by reading and, as much as possible, going to the theatre.
eligible for accreditation. Registered with The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy providing professional, clinically supervised therapy in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for counselling professions.
